Hi friend! Thank you so much for your order. It is truly so fun to help you save money, time, and feel so dang good! I am really grateful you are here.
This email is full of my top tips and tricks to help you become a press-on pro. Promise me you will give yourself grace as you learn the ropes. You totally got this!
PREP TIPS
Like anything new, I admit there's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to applying press-on nails. Never fear! I'm here to help.
1. Start with a blank slate.
Ensure nails are as squeaky clean as possible for the best results. The oil from our hands can affect the glue setting so wash hands, dry well, then clean nails with rubbing alcohol or vinegar before applying.
2. Clip natural nails.
I have found that shorter natural nails underneath make for better results.
3. See ya later, cuticles.
Use the wooden stick included in your set to push cuticles back. This ensures the Red Aspen nails will adhere to your natural nails, minimizing future lifting. When applying the nail press firmly under cuticle at a 45 degree angle.
4. The perfect match.
Match the dashes to your natural nail before applying. The dash should not be hanging off the edge and your natural nail should not be exposed. Pro-tip: You can use a nail file to gently shape the sides of the nail if needed!
5. Pop offs happen.
Lose a nail? No worries! Instead of going all the way back to the nail salon you can simply re-follow the application steps and glue it back on!
6. "I got glue everywhere."
So did I my first time! Nail polish remover and a cotton ball will take it right off or wash your hands for a day or two and it will fade away. You will get better every time. Pro-tip: For a cleaner application grab the Brush On Glue with your next order.
HOW-TO APPLY & REMOVE
To Apply:
1. Remove any nail polish. Wash and dry hands.
2. Push back cuticles with cuticle stick.
3. Gently buff natural nail with pink side of file.
4. Clean nail with rubbing alcohol or vinegar.
5. Select Dashes that fit all 10 of your natural nails and set aside.
6. When applying, start with pinkies and work inward, ending with thumbs. The number on the inside of the Dash will go toward your finger tip away from the cuticle.
7. Apply glue to natural nail and back of Dash, based on desired glue wear time.
8. Align Dash with cuticle and apply at a 45-degree angle. Press firmly to the nail for 30 seconds. Really 30 seconds! It's longer than you think.
9. File or gently clip Dash to desired length and shape.
10. To reapply, add glue to back of Dash after repeating steps above.
1. Soak in warm, soapy water for 10 minutes.
2. Lift from side of Dash to remove. Apply light pressure - never force removal. Soak for additional time if necessary. Patience is key! Pro-tip: Use a tooth pick flosser!
3. Remove excess glue and restore natural nails using black then pink side of included buffer.
1-3 days: Apply thin line of glue from natural nail cuticle to tip. This is great if you want special nails for an event! You can always soak off and reuse them later.
4-6 days: Apply pearl sized dot of glue to natural nail.
7-14 days: Apply thin layer of glue to back of Dash + pearl sized dot of glue to natural nail.
